Mantra: "Sojourner Truth"

Sojourner Truth named herself.  After leaving enslavement she reclaimed her being, her labor and her purpose to align with her sacred mission: to travel far and wide to share the truth. And though her many speeches for multiple freedom causes of her day, her bold and incisive voice demanding the end of slavery and equality for Black women and all people has impacted all of the movements that have come since, the documentation of her intellectual work for liberation has been mediated by people who sometimes mis-represented her.  But her name is the truth.  As we meditate today, live into the purpose of your names given and chosen and changing as you claim the freedom to journey inward for the truth you are here to bring.
