"However the image enters/ its force remains within..." this is the refrain of Audre Lorde's "Afterimages," one of the many poems she wrote about what she was seeing in the news. This reflective writing workshop follows one of Audre's important methods for remaining present when the news is heartbreaking and (re)traumatizing, turning to nature with urgency and curiousity.
